Satan In Heels - Jawbreaker Inspired

Teen movies...they really don't make them like this anymore. In Jawbreaker (1999), Rose McGowan plays Courtney Shane "Satan in heels", the ultimate high school villain who puts Regina George to shame. The birthday prank her clique plan to play on their classmate goes pear shaped and she ends up murdering them, with a jawbreaker, as you do. Whilst they attempt to cover their deed they discover a witness in the house, none other than the awkward nerdy girl, appropriately named Fern Mayo. Now what are they going to do? I'm not going to give it away but I will tell you that the entire film is currently streamable on youtube!

So much punchy neon, cleavage, spandex and cropped knitwear

Satan In Heels

OH MY GOD and in my search for screencaps to post I discovered something incredible. Jawbreaker nail polish!

Pretty and polished is a US Etsy based independent nail polish maker. It appears that the seller is currently away (I signed up to be notified when I am able to purchase) but seriously, how stunning is this glitter? and I'm a sucker for anything film inspired. The swatches of this polish look amazing. Glitter and random pieces of colour. Oh YES. I am converted. The price of this polish is $8.50 plus shipping. I am so over you, OPI and China Glaze.

Wearable Wiener

I'm a big fan of Agent Lover and her 90s style icons posts which have inspired me to create my own for a one off.
Welcome To The Dollhouse has been a firm film favourite of mine for years and pretty much sums the early teen years of many.

Dawn Wiener has to deal with the teen horrors of having no one to sit with in the cafeteria, her crazy family and her infactuation with floral shirt and necklace wearing 90s rock god Steve.

Dawn's ridiculous collection of outfits include lots of polka dots, acid green leggings, obnoxious bright jumpers and ditzy floral. I'm thinking, waaay ahead of her time. (I might skip on the ruffled blouse though)
