Miista Batilda Boot

Dear Diary, last night I did something really bad. I gave into the ultimate shoe temptation. I blew a small fortune on the greatest boots ever. My excuse being "it's my birthday treat!!!!" Even though I have had quite a few birthday treats throughout the month of October. To put it bluntly, I have been spending money like I'm with the bank of toytown.
Yeah, I know, right. I first found out about Hackney based brand Miista during an insomniac based night a couple of months ago. I instantly fell in love with their sharp unique designs, particularly the "Batilda" boot in the tan and black. At £165 I knew that these could only be admired from afar and had to forget about these. UNTIL I came across a mention of the brand in another bloggers post. For whatever reason I found myself on ASOS searching for the brand and found my babies reduced to £85.50 in the sale after taking off an additional 10%. I still tried so hard to forget about them but found myself searching around for reviews. All I need is for one review to state how a marathon could be run in them and that just did it for me. Part impulse purchase, part necessity. We'll see.

October Love List

1. My new leather jacket

I got this in the post today and it's amazing. It was reduced from £130 to £65 (although now you can get an extra 10% off it. Totally not cool to run that promotion 2 days after I purchase it, ASOS!) butter soft leather with wool panel detailing. I've been after a standard biker for ages. Initially I was after a classic black one but the price on this tempted me too much. I'm really looking forward to wearing this with a Pendleton scarf in the months to come.

2. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

Tried this today. Oh god. This stuff makes me so happy.

3. Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice of the nail polish variety! I found this by accident on ebay. I'm not sure what I was expecting to find but as soon as this popped up I instantly knew it had to be mine. Two slicks of this on a black base, ultimate spooky fall nails. This reminds me of a Spectacular colour I had in 1998. Who remembers Spectacular Cosmetics? This gem costs a ridiculous bargainous £2.25 and can be found for sale from this ebay seller I have had mine for a week and it has quickly become one of my favourite polishes ever.

4. The Bust Guide To The New Girl Order

I purchased this for under £3 on Amazon because of a friend’s recommendation. I am seriously hooked on it. I wish I read it at 15. A compilation of witty, smart articles written for the magazine in the 90s. This book is necessary.

Twin Peaks Nail Wraps...Kind of

So, I'm browsing ASOS looking to find myself a nice snuggly winter coat (I think I have found the one but is it going to sort me out for a cold winter? I'm liking the 20% off though)

I have my obligatory peek at the sale beauty products and then these things jump out of me and I instantly think OMG RED ROOM because I am a big, big peaks geek (as in, I actually attended an overnight viewing of the entire series two years ago and loved every single second of it)

HOW BLOODY AWESOME ARE THESE? If it wasn't for the fact that I seriously dislike nail wraps I would have snapped them up in a millisecond. I once tried to doodle chevron on my nails with my nail art pen and needless to say it was not a success.

I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange

Twin Peaksy looking nail wraps (AKA Nail Rock Designer Collection Romance Was Born - Zig Zag) are limited edition and available from ASOS for £4 (that's half price!) hm. maybe i will.

ASOS Volleyball Flatform Ice Cream Print

I was thinking about how I am currently way too uninspired to update this. A little browse on ASOS this morning and I have the ultimate jaw dropping shoe moment. Ice cream print flatforms For under £40? Too much for me to handle at this time. Ugh. Look at the inside lining as well. Cutest thing.

Lust haves #2

New month, new bank account killers. Let's go!
Topshop Jamaica sundress This print SCREAMS holiday and holiday would be the only occasion I would wear this because I am so totally not a dress girl but I cannot ignore the cuteness of this. I know that it will sell out and never be seen again and I will eventually get over it and forget it ever existed but for now I will love & obsess.
Topshop envelope purse You know when I mentioned that I have questionable taste?...This is a prime example. Actually the main reason that I adore this is that it is reminiscent of this purse that I had in 1998 which was silver and hologrammy. I'm feeling a lot of fashion nostalgia lately and I'm really into this. I'm also trying to avoid the fact that I'm on the wrong side of 20 and I'm not ready to get all Banana Republicy just yet.
ASOS "Desire" Flatforms ...Which brings me to my next item. I wish these had a black platform. I'm not into the white. A little too Spice Girly/easy to get dirty. THESE ARE SO HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Yet I am so in love with them. I love ASOS for shoes, even though I have never actually purhased shoes from them. They always have something a little ridiculous and there is always a discount code flying around (EXTRA24 for 24% off until 9am Tues 8th!)
New Look Grey Leather Glitter Boot I love the glitter detail on these. These are so unique for NL and such a decent price. I had to return my Monki boots because they fell apart and I need something with a heel/wedge to replace them. New contenders?
Maybelline Pop Sticks I'm laughing at myself in my head for my new obsession. I swatched these in Superdrug the other day. They're ok. I love the selection of "shades" apart from the fact that they all swatch the same...(bar one, the deeper red shade) totally transparant, totally blah, totally overpriced. So why do I feel the need to buy one so badly? I wish I could answer this question. You see, last year Clarins launched a product which was practically the same thing but over double the price. I fell in love with the concept of a transparent jelly coloured lipgloss that looks like a ice lolly. I am the perfect idiot consumer. These do smell nice and I like the packaging. Now, which colour do I choose?
Kenzo X Vans I lost interest in Vans when it appeared that everyone and their dog owned a pair, However I am a sucker for a limited edition collaboration and I love the print on these. Also, my burgundy Vans have lived a long exciting life (Florida and Tokyo!) and a replacement is overdue.
