Products I've loved in 2012

This is a little generic but sometimes I just feel like waffling on about beauty products to anyone that'll listen so I have to let it all out blog style.

The first product I fell in real life love with in 2012 was: Jane Iredale lip and cheek stain (£15+)

This came in my first Joliebox early in the year (you know, when it used to be good) as a sample size. Tiniest tube of lip product I have ever seen but DO NOT BE FOOLED. This tiny little sample kept me going until the end of summer and let me tell you, wearing it every day was a delight. Yes, look at me going way overboard on a lip gloss. What's new So, for £15 you ask, what is the big deal? ok, first off this smells like a strawberry bon bon. You put this on (lips, cheeks wherever) and you can feel how nourishing and skin loving it is. The product boasts a whole range of natural ingredients such as avocado and olive butter, wild rose and beeswax to hydrate and protect and don't just take my word for it.

Yonka Pamplemousse (£29+, various)

This was another Joliebox addition (duh, no way could I afford to spend £30 on moisturiser) This is a bit of a multi purpose kinda guy. Works as a moisturiser, protectant and primer. Smells like a handful of fresh fruit, has a thick almost foam like texture, feels super hydrating and the smallest amount goes far. A perfect base for your face canvas. Liquid foundations glide on like a dream. Contains a cocktail of natural oils. It's like feeding your face a feast of goodness.

Dr Bronner Almond Castile Soap (prices start at £1.99 for 59ml)

I watched a documentary on the late Emmanuel Bronner shortly before purchasing a small bundle of his products. I would strongly recommend it to any biography fans. Fascinating likeable character, made me want to support the family business even more. The famous All In One Magic Soap, like the name suggests is a multi use product which comes in a variety of scents, all fair trade and organic. The almond is luscious and the 235ml bottle lasts forever because the stuff is so super concentrated. I have tried the green tea, citrus and peppermint but the almond wins, hands down! The whole range just starts at a couple of quid and you can get 25% off until the end of Feb with the code 25%DIS at Dr Bronner UK hey, if it's good enough for Drew Barrymore...
